The Art of Rest
The Art of Rest
Saturday 28th March 2026 - Yin and Restorative Yoga with Sound Therapy
What to expect
A two-hour practice devoted to deep rest. The Art of Rest weaves together long-held, gentle yin postures, soothing somatic movement, and fully supported restorative shapes, accompanied by live sound. This is not a dynamic class, and there is no emphasis on technique or achievement. The focus is settling — allowing the nervous system to soften and the body to feel safely held. Postures are few and unhurried, with spacious pauses between them. Transitions are simple and slow. Bolsters, blankets and props are used generously so the body can soften and release without effort or strain. Live sound is woven gently throughout, offering a steady and supportive presence that holds the room in quiet stillness. We will also be guided through gentle breathwork and a Yoga Nidra meditation, both accompanied by Chrystelle’s soothing sounds. No experience of yoga or sound therapy is needed. This practice is simply an invitation into deep, uncomplicated rest. This session is especially suited to those who feel tired, overstimulated, or in need of deep rest. Spaces are limited to 14 to maintain comfort and support.
