Medical Advice and Cautions Adult Yoga:

Before starting a yoga class, check with your doctor and teacher if you have any concerns about your health. Also, be sure to tell your teacher about any concerns or physical limitations you may have.

If you are pregnant, tell your teacher so that they can modify postures for you. For example, avoid postures that put pressure on the uterus.

When you practice yoga postures, listen to yourself and your body, respect its individuality and limitations and have confidence in your sense of right and wrong. Do not continue any movement that causes you discomfort or pain.

It is not always easy initially, but gradually yoga will increase your sensitivity and self-awareness. While some stiffness may occur after the first classes, you should not feel pain.

If you are menstruating, certain asanas (postures) are not advisable, so please consult your teacher if you are unsure. It is recommended to omit inverted postures during menstruation (e.g. shoulder and headstands).

If you are unwell, you should not attend class.

You must pay for your class in advance.
