What to expect

✨ Please note: From Wednesday, 4th February 2026, our sangha circle will begin a new book and a new chapter together. With that fresh starting point, the circle will gently open again, and we’ll be welcoming new members from that date. The book we will be studying is: The Bhagavad Gita for Daily Living (Volume 1) by Eknath Easwaran. This feels like a natural moment to do so — a new text, a new thread of inquiry, and a shared beginning. As always, the space will remain women-only, held with care, depth, and respect for the trust that makes this circle what it is. If you’ve been feeling the pull to join, February offers a clean threshold: a place to step in, settle, and begin together. Rooted is a weekly sangha — a gathering space shaped by the deeper teachings of yoga. It’s not a movement class, but a soul-nourishing hour of stillness, reflection, and shared inquiry. Together, we explore themes drawn from yogic philosophy and everyday life: compassion, truthfulness, letting go, contentment, self-study, and more. Each session includes: – A short talk or reading (Dharma) – Journaling or quiet personal reflection – Optional group sharing and discussion – When time allows, a simple closing practice (breath, mantra, or meditation) This space is open to anyone drawn to the quieter threads of yoga. You don’t need to have studied philosophy or know Sanskrit — just come as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to explore. We also run a gentle book club in the background. There’s no pressure to read or listen to the book beyond our sessions - just an open invitation to deepen your practice through shared learning and conversation. Bring: a journal, a warm drink if you like, and something to sit on comfortably. Capped to a maximum of eight people, so the conversation is spacious, personal, and softly held. Come weekly or drop in when you need to feel grounded. Giving Back: After covering room and fuel costs, all proceeds from Rooted are being saved to support a local cause, chosen later this year — a small act of bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion in action. So far, we have donated £100 each to Kettering Samaritans and Johnny's Happy Place. In January 2026 we started putting funds aside for The Green Patch, Kettering.
