I now offer seated Thai Massage, and you can book with me online for this beautiful treatment.
What is Seated Thai Massage?
Thai massage originates from India and is directly related to Ayurvedic principles. It is believed to have arrived in Thailand along with Buddhism in around the 2nd century BC. Temples were built with adjacent dispensaries and medical schools where massage and other healing arts were taught and practised.
Why would you choose to have a Thai Massage?
Like Ayurvedic massage, Thai massage is centred around energy channels. There are said to be 72000 of these SEN lines in the human body. Thai massage employs acupressure, stretching and compression techniques to increase vascular activity, breaking up and mobilising metabolic waste. It is relaxing but also very stimulating, so clients feel refreshed, centred and grounded after a treatment.
This massage requires no oils and is carried out over clothing, and it takes no longer than forty minutes.
My yoga students enjoy a 10% discount on all treatments; please ask me for details.
