Falling Out of Child’s Pose and Into Compassion
A small SI joint injury became a big teacher. As a yoga teacher, I had to embrace Ahimsa (kindness), Satya (truth), and Aparigraha (letting go). I swapped big flows for gentle, somatic movement and gained fresh empathy for students in pain. Yoga doesn’t make us invincible—it makes us honest and kind. Wherever you are in your body, you are welcome on the mat. Simple is powerful. Small moments count.
